Essex batsman Jaik Mickleburgh has signed a new 12-month contract to keep him with the county until the end of next season.
Mickleburgh failed to secure a regular place in Essex's first-team this year, playing only in the County Championship where he scored 398 runs in 10 Division Two matches at an average of 22.11.
"I am delighted to have signed a contract extension at Essex," he said. "The club is a huge part of my life and I'm proud to be playing for this team."
The 25-year-old made his debut for Essex away at Leicestershire in 2008 and scored his highest score of 243 against the same county in 2013.
Limited-overs captain Ryan ten Doeschate and left-arm spinner Aron Nijjar both signed two-year deals with the county on Monday.
