Shane Warne says he would love to help leg-spinner Adil Rashid establish himself as a Test regular for England.

Yorkshire all-rounder Rashid is expected to make his Test debut against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates this month after breaking into the one-day side over the summer.

And cricket's greatest leggie, who finished with 708 wickets from 145 Tests for Australia, wants to see Rashid become a first-choice selection.

He told the Daily Telegraph: "Yes, 100 per cent I would like to work with him.

"I spoke to him when he was a young kid, he was impressive. I help a lot of leg-spinners or general spinners during the year and I would love to help Adil Rashid if the opportunity arises.

"I hope he grabs his chance, it would be great to see England have a leg-spinner."

Ian Salisbury, who played 15 Tests between 1992 and 2000, is the closest England have come to a regular wrist-spinner in modern times.
