James Anderson became the fifth-highest wicket-taker in Test cricket when he forced Tim Paine to chop onto his stumps on day two of the fourth Ashes Test in Melbourne.

The wicket of Paine moved Anderson above Courtney Walsh's 519 Test scalps and he ended the day with 521 after pinning Australia No 11 Nathan Lyon lbw as the Baggy Greens collapsed to 327 all out.

Anderson is now behind only former Australia seamer Glenn McGrath (563 wickets) and spinners Anil Kumble (619), Shane Warne (708) and Muttiah Muralitharan (800) on the all-time list...
