England have named a 13-man squad for the fifth Test against India at The Oval in which Alastair Cook will make his final international appearance.

Cook, England's all-time leading Test run scorer, announced his retirement from international duty on Monday and will bow out by playing his 161st Test match and record 159th in a row from Friday, live on Sky Sports Cricket.

Ollie Pope - dropped for the fourth Test at The Ageas Bowl, which England won by 60 runs to seal the series with one game to spare - will play for Surrey in the first two days of their Specsavers County Championship fixture at Essex before joining up with the squad in London on Thursday.

James Vince has been released from the 14-man party that headed to Southampton last week but all-rounder Chris Woakes has been retained, despite missing England's victory with a thigh strain.

England hold an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series and are unbeaten in Test series at home since losing 1-0 to Sri Lanka in 2014.
