India recall Bhuvneshwar Kumar as Gautam Gambhir drops out of squad

India have recalled fit-again seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar for the remaining three Tests of the series against England, while opening batsman Gautam Gambhir has been dropped from the 16-man squad.
Kumar is available after recovering from an injury suffered during the series against New Zealand and offers Virat Kohli another fast bowling option for the third Test, which begins in Mohali on Saturday.
The hosts are 1-0 up in the series following the 246-run win in Visakhapatnam on Monday.
Gambhir was released from the squad before the second Test win to allow him to find form in domestic cricket having made scores of just 29 and 0 in the first Test draw.
But he has not been recalled, with KL Rahul who scored 0 and 10 in the second Test, keeping his place. The uncapped pair of Karun Nair and Hardik Pandya remain in the squad.
Meanwhile, the ICC has confirmed that Virat Kohli will face no investigation to determine whether the emergence of
video footage in the Rajkot Test shows him applying an artificial substance to the ball.
The first Test against England concluded on November 13, and any investigation or disciplinary process must start - under the world governing body's established protocol - within five days, meaning unlike in the case of South Africa captain Faf du Plessis, the matter therefore cannot be pursued.
