Etixx – Quick-Step's manager has said there is a "90 per cent chance" that Mark Cavendish will leave the team at the end of the season.

Cavendish's contract expires this year and he has been heavily linked with a move to South African squad MTN-Qhubeka.

The 30-year-old Manxman's representatives met with Etixx - Quick-Step manager Patrick Lefevere during the Tour de France, but there has been no contact since.

Lefevere told cyclingnews.com: "I think that it's 90 per cent chance that he leaves us. I have not met his agent since the Tour and there is no contract on the table."

Cavendish joined Etixx - Quick-Step on a three-year deal in 2013 and has amassed 44 wins for the Belgian team.
