Alonso, the two-time F1 world champion, is a lifelong supporter of Real and will watch the game after qualifying for Sunday's Monaco GP, which is live on Sky Sports F1 and Sky One with lights out at 2.10pm.

"I guess there will be Liverpool supporters in the team and I will find that out on Saturday night," Alonso said.

"I am a Real Madrid fan and a Real Madrid member so I hope they can win on Saturday but it is going to be very tight and it will not be straightforward.

"I am in an English team so there will be lots of mechanics and engineers who support Liverpool, but that is something I will have to deal with this weekend.

"It is going to be an interesting match. They are two of the best teams in Europe, they have 17 Champions League titles between them, so it cannot be a better final than this one."
