Bernie Ecclestone says F1's potential new owners want him to stay on

F1 supremo says he's been asked to remain for three more years

F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone says he's been asked to stay on for another three years by the sport's potential new owners.

Reports suggest that Liberty Media are close to agreeing a deal to buy F1 from CVC.

"They want me to be here for three years," the 85-year-old told Reuters.

Ecclestone also revealed he wouldn't travel to the forthcoming Singapore GP as he assists with the potential takeover.
