See how Lewis Hamilton's qualifying session unfolded after fuel pressure issues hampered his Q3, leaving him in a battle with Rosberg and Ricciardo

Lewis Hamilton went into the deciding pole shootout in Monaco on the back foot after engine problems struck his Mercedes at the start of Q3.

After needing to complete just one flying lap in Q2, Hamilton was favourite for a second successive principality pole but was forced to pull to the side of the pit lane as the top 10 runners queued to take to the track.

"Something is wrong with the engine. I've got no power," a concerned-sounding Hamilton said over the radio.

Mercedes, who traced the issue to a fuel-pressure problem, were able to get his W07 up and running in time for the final runs, with Hamilton facing a race against time to get a quick lap in.
