Kevin Magnussen puts his Renault in the wall at turn 7 in Practice 3 of the Canadian GP, severely hampering his Qualification chances.

Kevin Magnussen was ruled out of Canadian GP qualifying after crashing his Renault into the Turn Seven barriers in P3.

Magnussen, who had already felt the wrath of drivers during the session for his failure to move aside, had just started a warm-up lap as the rain started to fall in Montreal.

But when the Dane went to put on the power he lost control of his car and was quickly shunted into the wall. With 10 minutes remaining and plenty of debris on track, Practice Three was brought to an end.

Thankfully, Magnussen reported that he was "ok" and the RS01 was slowly returned to the pit lane - though it was the last thing the team needed after a succession of incidents.

And Renault were unable to get Magnussen's car in decent shape for qualifying, meaning he will start the race at the back of the grid.
