In the first of this two part series, Sky F1’s Marc Priestley spends time with former F1 driver and four-time Paralympic gold medalist Alex Zanardi.

Watch both parts of our exclusive chat with Alex Zanardi as Sky F1's Marc Priestley travelled to Italy to meet the inspiring figure as he turns 50.

Former F1 driver Zanardi lost both his legs in a crash during a CART championship race at the EuroSpeedway in Germany in 2001, but has gone on to continue racing and win four Paralympic gold medals.

Despite his horrific injuries, Zanardi battled against adversity and completed the final 13 laps at the EuroSpeedway he had missed following his accident.
