Morsy rejects Vale deal

Port Vale midfielder Sam Morsy has turned down the club's offer of a new contract.

Morsy was offered an improved two-year deal at the end of the season but he has opted not to sign it. As he is under the age of 24, any club Morsy signs for will have to agree a compensation package with the Valiants. Meanwhile, Liam Chilvers has agreed a new contract and the centre-half will put pen to paper before the players return for pre-season training later this month. Manager Micky Adams continues to negotiate with captain Doug Loft, who was also offered a new deal at the end of the 2012/13 campaign.
