Ben Reeves has agreed a new contract extension that will see him remain at MK Dons until 2016.

Last season's player of the year signed the two-year contract after an excellent first season at stadium:mk but he has already stated that he can do better. The midfielder told the club's official website: "I saw last season what a great club this is and how successful it can be. "Personally, last season was good but I know I can play a lot better. I'm just looking really excited about the new season. This is my first pre-season in two years so I will hopefully be fit from day one. "I'm thankful to the fans for accepting me so quickly and the way they supported me throughout last year. They were brilliant with me and it made it so much easier to settle down." Dons manager Karl Robinson was delighted to tie-up the signature of the 22-year-old early, despite having already exercised an option to extend the initial contract by a further year. "We're very fortunate to have secured Ben's services for the next two years. It's great news for the Football Club. "We took up the option but I wasn't going to let his contract run out. The fact Ben is willing to sign a contract with us is great news for us all too. "He's got all the technical components to play at the top level. The sky is the limit for Reevesy and I'm looking forward to working with him once again." Reeves is another product of the hugely successful Southampton academy and played five times for the Premier League side before moving to the Dons last year.
