Doncaster have signed Northern Ireland international Sammy Clingan on a rolling month-to-month contract.
Clingan has been handed a chance to prove himself at the Keepmoat Stadium and will go straight into Rovers' squad for Saturday's trip to Notts County. The 28-year-old was a free agent having turned down an offer to stay at Coventry last season. Belfast-born Clingan will bring plenty of experience to the South Yorkshire outfit as they look to mount a charge for automatic promotion. He has managed 33 appearances for Northern Ireland since his debut in 2006.
