Stay tuned for the jewel in F1's crown...

F1 fans, do we have some exciting news for you! Starting on Sunday morning, it's Monaco week on Sky Sports F1 as the channel puts grands prix past and present around motor racing's most famous circuit at the centre of an eight-day television feast. As the channel gears up towards the showpiece of their week-long special - namely, next Sunday's eagerly-anticipated grand prix - viewers are in for a gluttonous treat of street racing with each of the last five races around the famed streets of Monte Carlo replayed in their entirety. In addition, the channel will also be providing highlights of the 1982 Monaco Grand Prix - complete with arguably the most extraordinary finish to a race in the sport's history - and the 1983 event that was won by Keke Rosberg in a car which, without giving too much away, will be familiar to viewers of Friday's edition of The F1 Show. The 'Monaco Special' begins on Sunday morning at 9am with a highlights package of the legendary 1982 race. The 40-minute show will then immediately be followed by highlights of the 1983 Grand Prix. And then, on a day which sounds like manna from heaven for F1 aficionados, the channel will broadcast the 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 Grands Prix in their entirety back-to-back. Fret not if that sounds a little much for a single helping. Each of the five races will then replayed on the channel over the week of the 2012 event with the 2007 Monaco Grand Prix shown again on Monday night, the 2008 race on Tuesday night, the 2009 event on Wednesday...and, yes, you guessed it, the 2010 Monaco Grand Prix shown on Thursday evening and the 2011 race a day later on Friday night. Interspersed with this trip down Monaco's memory lane, the channel will be hosting live coverage of each and every session of this year's much-anticipated event - and don't forget, the track action actually kicks off a day earlier than normal because Friday afternoon in Monte Carlo is devoted to Market Day. Although qualifying will retain its Saturday slot and the race will, naturally, take place on the Sunday, the upshot is that our first live offerings from this year's event will be broadcast a day earlier than normal, with Practices One and Two taking place on Thursday, while our first live 'show', the Drivers' Press Conference, will go to air at 2pm on Wednesday afternoon.
