After the sacking of Stephen Wallace, the Offaly county board have announced Paul Rouse as their new football manager.
Wallace was informed by the county board that he was being relieved of his duties, after reports of unrest in the camp emerged earlier in the week. Wallace since spoke out on his fractured relationship with the county's officials.
The Faithful County now look ahead to the qualifiers, with hope that they can pick up a win and get their season back on track.
Late on Friday night, it was announced that Rouse will take over the footballers until the end of the season. An official statement confirmed the decision.
"The Interim Management Team will be led by Paul Rouse, and will also consist of Stephen Darby, John Rouse and Alan McNamee. The Interim Management Team and players will have the full support of the Coiste Bainistí Uibh Fhailí in their preparations for the first round of the All-Ireland Qualifiers on 9th June."
Rouse,a UCD lecturer and Tullamore clubman, will be tasked with getting the season back on track.
Given the tumultuous week which the county football set-up has experienced, all involved will be eager to put their head down and begin preparations for the first-round qualifier game on June 9.
