Bronte Law four off pace at KPMG Women's PGA Championship

England's Bronte Law is four shots off the pace after battling the heat on day two at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship.
With the temperature reaching the mid-30Cs at Kemper Lakes in Ilinois, the 23-year-old mixed two bogeys with four birdies to fire a second-round 70.
Law's compatriot Charley Hull fared less well, however, as she dropped to joint 21st, firing five bogeys and two birdies to finish the round three-over par and on one under overall.
Stockport's Law is among a nine-strong pack tied in 12th place on two under overall, chasing leaders So Yeon Ryu, Brooke M Henderson and Sung Hyun Park on six under.
Opening-day leader Park followed her first-round 66 with an even 72, as Henderson joined the South Korean at the top of the leaderboard in a mixed day that saw her hit four bogeys and five birdies, finishing her round on one-under-par 71.
Ryu, celebrating her 28th birthday, carded a round of 69 to make up the three-way tie on six under, with Spain's Carlota Ciganda a shot back.
"The chip shot [for birdie on the par-four fifth] was a pretty tough one, but I made the birdie and I was able to have two birdies under my belt after like five holes, so that was pretty happy," Ryu told the LPGA's official website.
Top-ranked Inbee Park missed the cut at five-over 149, while New Zealand's Lydia Ko recovered from a first-round 74 to shoot a six-under 66 on day two and finish two shots adrift of the leading pack.
