Cristie Kerr carded four straight sub-70 rounds en route to claiming a one-stroke victory at the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship in Florida.
The American closed with a four-under-par 68, which included an eagle-three at the 17th - where she holed out from 12 feet - having earlier made a 35-foot birdie on 15.
Kerr hit all 14 fairways during her final round to fend off joint runners-up Gerina Piller and Ha Na Jang at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples.
It was Kerr's 18th career title on the LPGA Tour, and was clinched by tapping home a two-foot par putt on the 72nd green.
Kerr's compatriot Piller birdied five of the last six holes, as she came home in 31 for a final round of 67. Meanwhile Jang, co-leader with Kerr after 54 holes, registered a 69.
And by finishing in a tie-for-7th, Lydia Ko collected $1m by securing the LPGA Tour Player of the Year title for a second straight season.
Ko ended with a level par 72, while nearest challenger for the No 1 crown - Inbee Park - remained second in the standings by finishing sixth.
Stacy Lewis, the only other golfer who could have denied Ko the title this week, finished in a tie-for-14th, nine shots behind winner Kerr.
"I'm happy that the season is over and I can relax now," said Ko. "It was kind of a tough day. I tried to stay patient all day. Every emotion went through me."
