Adam Scott found himself in a spot of bother on the 15th hole at the Honda Classic

Adam Scott will take a share of the lead in to the final round of the Honda Classic, but would have held a convincing advantage had it not been one problem-filled hole.

Scott had raced in to a three-stroke advantage after carding six birdies in a eight-hole stretch around the turn, but saw his good work was undone with two wayward shots at the par-three 15th.

Having dunked his opening tee shot in to the hazard and taken a penalty, Scott fired over the green from the drop zone and saw his ball trickle back in to the water.

The former world No 1 found dry land with his fifth shot, but needed another two putts from 11 feet to run up a quadruple-bogey seven and temporarily hand the lead back to Sergio Garcia.
