Darren Clarke greeted by thousands of Europe flags at Made In Denmark

Darren Clarke enjoyed incredible support on the 16th during his second round of the Made in Denmark as thousands of fans proved they are gripped by Ryder Cup fever.

Scores of locals provide the backdrop to the short par-three and create an amphitheatre which has become known at 'Himmerland Hill', and Clarke was thrilled with the sight of European flags as he teed his ball up.

After knocking a short iron onto the front portion of the green, the Ryder Cup captain was given a huge ovation by the fans and videoed the experience on his mobile phone.

Clarke posted the video on his Instagram account, with the message: "Unbelievable reception from all the fans here on the 16th. #thankyou #awesome #europe."

He narrowly missed out on sinking the 30-foot putt for birdie, but he will not get to play the hole again over the weekend as he missed the halfway cut by four shots.
