Shanshan Feng claims second LPGA Malaysia title in Kuala Lumpur

Shanshan Feng claimed her second Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia title in three years with a three-stroke win over Suzann Pettersen in Kuala Lumpur.
Feng, who came in to this week off the back of four top-five finishes, recovered from an opening-hole bogey to fire a four-under 67 and end her two-year title drought on the LPGA Tour.
The Olympic bronze medallist had stormed in to the lead with a birdie-filled 64 during a rain-interrupted third round, where several players had to finish their rounds early on Sunday morning.
After picking up strokes at the third and fifth, Feng pulled clear of the chasing pack with a birdie-three at the 11th and successive gains from the 14th.
"It's really good, especially in the last four years where I finished second, first, second, first here," Feng said. "Even though I only improved one spot, I think I've had a fantastic week coming back here."
Pettersen posted back-to-back 66s over the weekend to claim outright second ahead of Amy Yang and Anna Nordqvist, with So Yeon Ryu and Azahara Munoz tied-fifth on 11 under.
World No 1 Lydia Ko had jumped in to contention after a six-under 65 on Saturday and three birdies on the front nine during the final round, only to double-bogey the 15th and bogey the last to end the week nine off the pace.
"I think there's still a lot of positives out there," said Ko, who was joined on eight under by Charley Hull and Ha Na Jang.
