The best of the action from the 1st Round in Florida where Charley Hull is only 1 stroke behind the lead

Charley Hull is one shot off the pace after the opening round of the LPGA's CME Group Tour Championship in Florida.

Hull carded four successive birdies at one point during her round of 67 at the Tiburon Golf Club but her total was surpassed by China's Shanshan Feng in one of the last groups to finish.

The English star started her day with five pars but stormed to the head of the field with birdies at six, seven, eight and nine to go out in 32.

Only one more birdie would follow, coming at the long 14th, but Hull avoided any bogeys on a day when some of the world's best players struggled.

For a long time, she looked like sharing the lead with Korea's So Yeon Ryu, who had six birdies and a single dropped shot in her matching round of 67.

But Feng came up with a storming finish to reach the summit as she birdied four of her closing five holes to post a best-of-the-day 66.
