Florentyna Parker holds a one-shot lead over Sophie Giquel-Bettan and Cheyenne Woods after the opening round of the Dubai Ladies Masters.
Parker birdied seven of her first nine holes on Wednesday before play was suspended due to the tragic death of caddie Maximilian Zechmann, and completed an opening-round 67 when play resumed on Thursday.
The Englishwoman had extended her lead by cancelling out a blemish at the third with back-to-back gains from the fifth, only to lose ground with a bogey and double bogey over her final two holes.
"Yesterday I started so well. I had seven birdies on the front nine and gave myself nine chances," Parker said. "The last three years I've missed the cut (in Dubai) and it's been very disappointing."
Woods played her first 11 holes in seven under and briefly held the outright advantage, only to bogey the fourth and double bogey the eighth to move back alongside Giquel-Bettan.
Defending champion and world No 4 Shanshan Feng matched Charley Hull's level-par 72, with Solheim Cup star Suzann Pettersen a further two strokes back.
