Jaco van Zyl gave the home crowds something to cheer about with a stunning hole-in-one during the second round of the SA Open.
The South African aced his tee shot at the 223-yard 17th at Glendower GC, on his way to a seven-under 65 to move within two strokes of early leader Graeme Storm.
Van Zyl reached the par-three one under for the day after sandwiching a bogey-five at the 11th between birdies at the 10th and 12th.
After a run of four straight pars, Van Zyl laced a 4-iron to within 12 feet of the pin before watching his ball take a couple of short hops and roll straight into the cup.
The home favourite, who also posted a hole-in-one during the Olympics last summer, then added four more gains after the turn to move inside the top-10 on the leaderboard.
