Watch how Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano had to strip to his underwear to play a shot from the hazard.

Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano got a little closer to the hazard than he would have wished for during the third round of the CareerBuilder Challenge.

The Spaniard was two under for the week when he made his way to the par-four ninth on the Nicklaus Tournament Course, where he found the fairway off the tee.

Trying to attack the green, Fernandez-Castano's approach narrowly avoided the water but left him with no dry land to play his approach from.

Faced with no alternative but to get in to the water, the 36-year-old stripped to his underwear before wading in to the hazard and hit his shot.

With the cold water up above his knees and left with a difficult stance to play his shot, Fernandez-Castano was able to hack his ball back in to play and get himself on the green.
