The inaugural ISPS Handa World Super 6 Perth trialled new formats and innovations on the European Tour this week, including the addition of a specially-constructed hole.

A purpose-built hole was built adjacent to the 18th fairway at Lake Karrinyup, providing plenty of drama during the final two days of the tournament.

The event's unique format saw the top 24 players after 54-holes of stroke play progress in to the Sunday match play, with those tied-24th on Saturday battling it out on the Knock-Out hole.

The hole was used again to decide during the Sunday Match Play format, with all matches tied after six holes heading back there for a nail-biting decider.

Although no play was able to post a hole-in-one during the tournament, a number of players came close to sinking their tee shots at the course's unique hole.
