Justin Rose completed a bogey-free opening nine holes in style with a monster birdie at the Arnold Palmer Invitational

Justin Rose ended a run of pars in spectacular fashion during the opening round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill.

Playing in the morning marquee group and starting at the 10th hole, Rose completed the opening eight holes in regulation before producing something special at the par-four 18th.

After finding the right-side of the fairway off the tee, Rose missed the green with his approach and saw his ball stop on the fringe at the top of the slope.

Positioned at a completely different angle to the hole as he lined up his 50-foot putt, Rose aggressively pushed his effort some way left of the flag and watched it catch the huge break.

Rose's ball then tracked the perfect line as it continued to gather pace, landing in the heart of the cup for a timely birdie to reach the turn blemish-free.
