Steve Stricker and Keegan Bradley were among the players to progress through US Open qualifying, as former world No 1 Luke Donald missed out.

Presidents Cup captain Stricker topped the standings in Memphis, one of 10 qualifying events in the USA on Monday, to book a place at Erin Hills - the first US Open in his home state of Wisconsin.

The 50-year-old shot rounds of 67 and 65 to secure one of nine places available at Germantown Country Club and Ridgeway, where Harris English and Chez Reavie also progressed.

"It means a lot," Stricker said. "It's been at the forefront of my thinking for a while now. It's kind of a relief knowing I got in on my own terms."

Donald failed to finish inside the top 14 of the 120-field playing at the Brookside and Lakes courses in Columbus, ending the 36-hole event three strokes off the cut mark.
