Although the US Open heads to a new venue this week at Erin Hills, it isn't the first time the Wisconsin-based course has hosted a big golf event.

A number of players involved in the second major of the year have previously featured competitively in Milwaukee, having participated in the 2011 US Amateur Championship at the same venue.

Future PGA Tour stars Jordan Spieth, Brooks Koepka and Justin Thomas all featured in the tournament, where Kelly Kraft prevailed to win the Havemeyer Trophy.

Kraft beat a number of well-known names on his way to victory, seeing off Englishman Jack Senior - who had despatched Spieth in the previous round - to set up a final against Patrick Cantlay.

The gripping 36-hole finale wasn't decided until the final hole. Cantlay was one ahead with four holes to play but lost three of the next four to see Kraft prevail 2up.
