Was Kevin Na taking an unacceptable time to play his shot at the par-three ninth?

Golf's governing bodies are keen to increase pace of play in the sport, but Kevin Na seemingly forgot about those efforts to speed up the game during the third round of the US Open.

The American has been slated on a number of occasions during his career for the length of time it takes to play a shot, with Na generating similar comments again at Erin Hills.

Recent Nordea Masters champion Renato Paratore has proven how players can play efficiently and still be successful, whereas Na was the polar-opposite at the par-three ninth.

After putting his tee into the ground, Na slowed down play by holding lengthy discussions about how to tackle the 123-yard hole.

Sky Sports' Ewen Murray branded the length of the time it took Na as "unacceptable" during commentary, with the world No 68 eventually sticking his tee shot to the far side of the green on his way to making par.
