Gaz Beadle buckles under pressure in front of his home fans at the Hero Challenge and almost takes out a Masters champion!

Gaz Beadle disappointed his home fans on his home course at Close House as he buckled under the weight of expectation in the Hero Challenge ahead of the British Masters.

The Geordie Shore star was taking part in the celebrity challenge along with Robbie Fowler, Stuart Broad and Dan Walker, and he was given a big build-up by host Vernon Kay as he strode nervously to the tee.

Beadle, an avid golfer off a handicap of 18, was reminded several times that this was his home course before he followed his three opponents, with Fowler setting the target with a solid wedge to 12 feet.

But he turned away in disgust after pulling his shot way left of the target, his ball almost taking out a cameraman as Masters champion Sergio Garcia attempted to pull off a catch near the packed grandstands.

And Fowler was soon presented with a magnum of champagne as the champion, which did not go down well with the locals just a few days before Liverpool travel St James' Park to face Newcastle on Super Sunday.
