The Frenchwoman took advantage of Michele Thomson's back-nine stutter to post a five-under 67 on the Black Knight Golf Course at DLF Golf and Country Club and claim a one-shot win.

Chevalier mixed six birdies with a sole blemish to secure the €51,637 prize, as Thomson was left settling for second after carding two bogeys and a double-bogey on her back nine.

"I didn't expect that I was going to win," Chevalier said. "I was more concerned about keeping my card for the LET next year, because I was borderline, so I'm really happy to be keeping my card."

Thomson fired a course record on Saturday and held a five-stroke advantage during the final round, but opened the door for the chasing pack by bogeying the 10th and 11th.

Chevalier was six off the pace after eight holes, only for the 23-year-old to make back-to-back birdies from the 11th and take advantage of Thomson double-bogeying the 14th to birdie the par-four.

A birdie at the par-five 15th briefly moved Thomson back ahead, only for Chevalier to pick up a shot at the 17th and pitch over water to leave a three-foot birdie at the last for victory.
