The 21-year-old trailed leaders Jorge Campillo of Spain and South Africa's Dylan Frittelli at the start of the final round, but hit an almost flawless round including 10 birdies to claim his second European Tour win of the season.

As a result, the 21-year-old, who won the Joburg Open in December, has moved top of the Race to Dubai standings and has two wins from his opening 13 events of the European Tour.

He finished with a total of 21-under ahead of Campillo (-19), fellow Spaniard Pablo Larrazabal and New Zealander Ryan Fox who shared third place.

"I played pretty solid and it wasn't easy because it was windy," Sharma said after the win.

"I kept pushing the whole day. I knew I had to make a lot birdies to catch the leaders. I made a lot of birdies on the front nine and just continued on the back.
