See Nick Dougherty get into bother in the Shot Centre, where he found water when taking on David Howell on Pebble Beach's 17th

Nick Dougherty and David Howell may have eight European Tour titles between them, but the pair both found life difficult when going head to head in the Shot Centre.

During Sky Sports' coverage of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the duo attempted a nearest-the-pin challenge across a number of Pebble Beach's iconic par-threes.

Both players struggled in getting to close to the greens when aiming for the course's small putting surfaces, with the worst of the efforts coming from Nick at the par-three 17th.

Howell's effort on the 210-yard saw him knock a four-iron to within 12 feet of the target, piling the pressure on his playing partner as he prepared to fire a six-iron towards the flag.

Dougherty disliked his tee shot immediately as it shot way left of the target, crashing into the cliffs on its way to dropping into the Pacific Ocean!
