Ian Poulter came within a couple of inches of holing out for a remarkable par from the pine straw on the final hole of last year's Players Championship, but could he repeat the feat 12 months later?
Not long after being misinformed that he had lost his PGA Tour card, Poulter revived his career with a gutsy performance at TPC Sawgrass, finishing in a tie for second, three shots adrift of Si Woo Kim.
But Poulter appeared likely to drop a further place on the 72nd hole when he shanked his second shot way right into an unplayable lie, forcing him to take a penalty drop in the pine straw.
From there, he hit an incredible shot over the trees with the ball pitching and spinning across the face of the hole and coming to rest 18 inches away to leave a tap-in for bogey.
And, ahead of this year's unofficial fifth major, the PGA Tour invited Poulter to have another attempt at his incredible escape, so how close did he get?
