Francesco Molinari grabbed a share of the lead heading into the final round of the Quicken Loans National, as Tiger Woods slipped down the leaderboard.
Molinari birdied his final two holes to post a second successive 65 at TPC Potomac and join Abraham Ancer - who fired a round-of-the-day 62 - tied at the top on 13 under.
Zac Blair and Ryan Armour lie two strokes back on 11 under ahead of Andrew Landry, while Woods heads in Sunday in a share of 10th and six shots off the lead.
"I did a good job today," Molinari told Sky Sports. "I think I left two or three putts out there but I made a couple of longer ones, so another good round."
Molinari came into the weekend a shot off the pace but opened with a 20-foot birdie at the first and fired his approach to tap-in range at the seventh, before cancelling out a three-putt bogey at the eighth with a 15-foot gain at the ninth to reach the turn in 33.
Ancer had made a fast start with four birdies in his first seven holes, with further close-range gains at the 10th and 14th moving the 27-year-old ahead of a congested group of players.
The Mexican converted from 18 feet at the 16th and holed a 10-footer at the last to close a blemish-free card and match the course record, as Molinari drained a 25-footer at the 12th but missed a number of birdie opportunities over his back nine.
Molinari responded late in his round and holed from 28 feet to birdie his penultimate hole, before adding another from six feet at the par-four last.
Woods recovered from an opening-hole bogey to fire four consecutive gains from the fourth and briefly get within one of the lead, before bouncing back from a blemish at the eighth to sink a 20-foot birdie at the next.
The former world No 1 bogeyed the 13th and undid a close-range gain at the 16th by failing to get up-and-down from a greenside bunker at the last, dropping him into the group on seven under.
