The waiting is nearly over for the third men's major of the year, with extended coverage of The Open live on Sky Sports' dedicated channel.

Jordan Spieth is back to defend his title after last year's dramatic victory at Royal Birkdale, while Tiger Woods returns to the event having missed the previous two Open Championships through injury.

Carnoustie hosts The Open for the first time since 2007, when Padraig Harrington claimed the first of back-to-back wins, with the world's top players all in Scotland trying to lift the Claret Jug.

All four rounds will be live exclusively on Sky Sports The Open, with 14 hours of action on each of the first two days, with live daily preview shows on air from Monday to Wednesday.
