Open Championship star Paul Dunne is one of five Irish golfers selected for the Walker Cup squad to face the United States next month.
Dunne was the 54-hole leader at St Andrews last month but faded on the final day, shooting a 78 on Monday to drop into a tie for 30th place.
Jack Hume, Gary Hurley, Gavin Moynihan and Cormac Sharvin will also represent Ireland, making up half of captain Nigel Edwards' team for the competition at Royal Lytham and St Annes on September 12 and 13.
Ashley Chesters will be one of Dunne's team-mates, having eventually finished ahead of him at the Open, as will fellow Englishmen Sam Horsfield and Jimmy Mullen, and Grant Forrest and Jack McDonald from Scotland.
"We have selected a talented group of players who compete at the highest levels of amateur golf and, in some cases, have played in Major Championships and Tour events," Edwards said.
"The Walker Cup offers these players a tremendous opportunity to display their abilities and gain invaluable experience of playing in international team competition."
Dunne eventually lost out on the leading amateur prize at St Andrews - the Silver Medal - to America's Jordan Niebrugge, who will be part of the visitors' line-up.
The United States regained the Walker Cup at the National Golf Links of America in 2013, winning 17-9 in a relatively one-sided competition.
Niebrugge is one of five players added, along with Scott Harvey, Denny McCarthy, Mike McCoy and teenager Robby Shelton, to complete their squad.
US Amateur champion Bryson DeChambeau, Beau Hossler, Lee McCoy, Maverick McNealy and Hunter Stewart had already been selected.
