It was a day of frustration at Baltusrol for Rory McIlroy as he crashed out of the PGA Championship. However, the Northern Irishman still did enough to feature in our selection of the top shots from the second round.

His superb second shot at the 11th and his tee shot at the 16th both make the cut as does his long-range putt for birdie at 17.

Henrik Stenson remains in the hunt for a second major in the space of a month and he was helped out by an eagle at 18, set up by a wonderful approach shot.

Meanwhile, Hideki Matsuyama went one better to card at eagle at the second as holed out from the fairway. Jordan Spieth was also in fine form and showed off his iron skills throughout the round with a particularly impressive effort on the 17th.

Jimmy Walker and Jason Day were both on fire with the putter while Ernie Els also rolled back the years with a lengthy putt at the second.
