Golovkin vs Brook: Home crowd will energise me says Kell Brook

Kell Brook says he will draw on the energy from his home crowd when he takes on Gennady Golovkin at The O2 on Saturday night, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
The Sheffield fighter was given a small taste of the sort of reception he will receive when he enters the ring as he took part in a public workout at London's Covent Garden on Tuesday afternoon.
Brook followed Golovkin, the unbeaten WBA Super, WBC and IBF world middleweight champion, into the temporary ring with cheers from the packed crowd ringing in his ears.
The 30-year-old went through his warm-up routine before taking part in a sparring-pad session with his trainer Dominic Ingle.
He produced a variety of shots and gradually upped the pace, drawing more cheers as he acknowledged the crowd from the ropes after one final flourish.
"These are my people, these are my fans," he told Sky Sports News HQ.
"They have arrived to see an amazing night on Saturday night. I'm drawing energy from these people and this is what I want to do. This is it. This feeling that I'm feeling now is amazing. Every single day I am a step closer to doing something very special.
"I am a joy to be around, even to train. I'm pushing myself every day and I'm making history in this fight.
"This is an amazing fight for me. I can't go back to those fights I had before - they have to be mega-fights. The attention we've had everywhere I have gone is so exciting and that buzzes me up and makes me just want to set off running.
"I'm so energised with the people, with the excitement of this one. I'm ready to go."
Much has been made of the fact that Brook, who is also unbeaten, is stepping up two weight divisions to middleweight from welterweight, but he looked to possess the power as he worked out with Ingle.
When asked how he felt afterwards, he replied: "Big, strong, speed. I'm sweating, I'm very hydrated, very fit. Already the tools are sharp and I'm ready to get in and rip those titles away.
"It's heavenly. All this camp has been very hard training but I'm getting the calories in and I'm training hard. I'm getting replenished, I'm getting 10 hours sleep and I've never felt the way I'm feeling right now.
"I'm just looking forward to seeing what I can do at 100 per cent instead of stripping myself down to 147. You have seen the size of me, my legs and everything - I feel great at this weight."
Brook also insists he will be able to cope with Golovkin's strength as the 34-year-old Kazakhstani goes in search of a 33rd win inside the distance in his 36th fight.
"I have been sparring with big guys for this," said Brook. "I've been keeping the extra strength and the speed is there as well. I can't wait to test it out - the new and improved me at 160 weight.
"I'm feeling ready. I'm not drained, my face hasn't sunk in, I'm sweating easily and I'm so ready to perform now.
"And it's an added bonus fighting the undisputed middleweight champion and taking them [titles] off him."
