Eddie Hearn said that a certain national stadium is available on the 9th of July and could be a possible venue for Anthony Joshua's first title defence

Anthony Joshua's first IBF title defence could be held at Wembley on the same night as Tyson Fury-Wladimir Klitschko, says promoter Eddie Hearn.

Joshua claimed the IBF heavyweight belt with a second-round stoppage of Charles Martin and he joins WBA and WBO champion Fury as a title holder in the top division.

Fury's long-awaited rematch with Klitschko was finally confirmed this week, with their second fight to be staged in Manchester on July 9.

But promoter Hearn has suggested that Joshua could defend his belt on the same evening - and is even considering the national football stadium as a possible venue.

Hearn told Sky Sports Box Office: "He's just won the heavyweight championship of the world, it just looks like he's just won a four-rounder.

We've got a little something planned for July 9, maybe in a national stadium in Wembley.

"This is only the beginning, he's got aspirations to unify all the belts, and he will. We've got a little something planned for July 9, maybe in a national stadium in Wembley.

"Get ready for that. He's going to go through everybody."

Asked about a potential clash with the Fury-Klitschko date, Hearn insists he is just focusing on the future of his unbeaten fighter.

He said: "Listen this is going to be the biggest star in world boxing, if he's not already.

"He's so humble, he's down to earth, he can beat them all. Don't worry about the small stuff, this is the real deal right here, and he'll beat everybody."
