Britain's top eventer William Fox-Pitt has returned to England as he continues his rehabilitation from a head injury suffered last month.
Former world No 1 eventer Fox-Pitt, who is also a three-time medallist in the team events across three Olympics, fell at the World Young Horse Championships on October 17 and has been treated at a hospital in France.
A statement from British Eventing confirmed the 46-year-old "continues to make really good progress" and was well enough to fly back home on Monday, where his rehabilitation will continue.
"His recovery is likely to take time, but he is up and about and improving day by day," said his wife Alice.
"We are exceptionally grateful for the huge amount of support we have received."
