Ahoy there, landlubbers! The Volvo Ocean Race has docked in Cardiff, affording Jamie Redknapp and Andrew Flintoff the chance to take to the high seas.

The A League of Their Own stars even got some tips from Turn The Tide on Plastic skipper Dee Caffari before they ventured into the famously treacherous waters of the inner harbour area.

These chaps have played sport at the highest level and in some of the biggest arenas, but that was a walk in the park compared to the task of sailing a small dinghy around a short course.

Cricketing legend Flintoff at least managed to stay dry - although his lack of speed around the circuit suggested he may have dropped anchor ahead of time.

Meanwhile, poor old Redknapp had to contend with gusting, 1-knot winds - and the former England footballer's hopes of joining Ben Ainslie's America's Cup team were dealt a crushing blow as he ended up showcasing his swimming skills.

The seven teams of real sailors will be in the Welsh capital until Sunday, when they set off for Sweden on the penultimate leg of the Ocean Race.

Sky Sports News is in Cardiff all day on Tuesday and Sportswomen will be live at 11am as the battle against ocean pollution gathers momentum - and we're also blogging from the event as well.
