Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez to bring down curtain on 2008/09 season
A1GP organisers have announced that Mexico City will host the eighth and final round of the season on May 24.
The Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez had been scheduled to host a round earlier last month but it was cancelled due to a clash with a rock concert at the same venue.
A1GP CEO Pete da Silva, said: "It is very important for the series to go back to Mexico City, especially as it won the award for being the best run event of Season Three.
"The fans have always given us a warm welcome, and it will be great to let them witness the finale of what has been a very exciting first season for the A1GP Powered by Ferrari cars."
Although FIA approval has been given, it is subject to the completion of stipulated track changes that will allow the granting of the necessary licence.
The 'World Cup of Motorsport' has always visited Mexico, with Fundidora Park in Monterrey used initially before the series switched to Mexico City.
Brands Hatch will therefore now host the penultimate round of the 2008/09 season on May 3.
