Ugandan netballer Peace Proscovia tells Sky Sports News HQ how joining Loughborough Lightning is a dream come true

Ugandan superstar Peace Proscovia has re-signed for Loughborough Lightning for the next two seasons.

Proscovia, who played for Lightning in 2015 and 2016, was one of the stars of the Netball World Cup in 2015, but was only allowed to return to play for Lightning at the 11th hour due to new visa regulations.

Proscovia is now able to fulfil her dream by studying at Loughborough University alongside her netball after enrolling on a MSc in Marketing at the University's School of Business and Economics.

The Ugandan captain said: "I'm so thankful to the management of Loughborough Lightning for giving me the opportunity to come and play overseas as I never thought I'd have that chance.

"I'm privileged to be able to do a Masters of Science in Marketing at Loughborough University and every single day I'm thanking god, as if it wasn't for Loughborough I couldn't do my studies overseas.

"With talent nothing is impossible - if I'm able to make it over here all the way from Uganda, just a small country in Africa, then anyone else can do it, whether you're talented in music, politics or sport. If you apply your talent and use it, it can take you anywhere you want to go."

"For me as a coach, it gives me four and a half months to work with Peace in advance of the Super League season which we have never had before. I am excited about the progress we can make during that time and how much we can strengthen and add to her game."
