Manchester Thunder have confirmed England under-21 shooter Amy Clinton as their latest addition ahead of the 2017 Vitality Superleague season.

Clinton was part of the Roses U21 squad that recently captured the Netball Europe title and joins a host of players in committing to the Thunder cause for another season.

Gabriella Marshall and Kathryn Turner were last month confirmed as back in the Black and Yellow for the all-new 10-team Superleague season, with Bea Skingsley joining from Yorkshire Jets.

Kerry Almond and Emma Dovey have also been confirmed on the 12-player roster for 2017, meaning new head coach Karen Greig has half her squad in place with the remaining six due to be announced in the coming days.

Nineteen-year-old Clinton has worked with Greig since she was 14 and after making her Superleague debut last year will look to continue her progress in the new season and Greig is delighted with her progress.

"I'm so pleased we have managed to secure Amy for the future, she had a taste of Superleague action last year and she has been developing into a top shooter each week," said Greig.

"Amy has proved herself as a true team player and is always striving be the best on court.

"Touring with her for the England U19 tour of Jamaica this summer proved to me that Amy is more than ready to step up and be a real threat for Thunder this season," added Greig.

"The physicality of the game and how she coped and performed was super impressive, she backed this up with a practically flawless display at the recent U21 summer showdown."
