Surrey Storm's hopes of qualifying for the Final Four suffered a major blow as they were beaten by Sirens, while Wasps sealed their Vitality Superleague play-off place along with Manchester Thunder.

Defending champions Storm had the opportunity to pile on the pressure at home to Sirens, having responded brilliantly to Bath's win last weekend which had knocked them out of the top four for the first time this season.

Tania Hoffman's side came out flying after half-time, taking control with what appeared to be a comfortable 42-35 lead. But the visitors fought back before securing a dramatic win in their first ever visit to Surrey Sports Park 50-49.

Bath will now hope to take advantage, although they face a tough trip to Manchester Thunder in Sky Sports Mix' latest live offering on Monday night. But whatever happens in that match, the race will go to the final weekend between Bath and Surrey.

With Thunder having now secured their place in the Final Four on June 10 & 11 the heat is off, but it still promises to be a keenly contested affair with Bath keen to avoid any slip-ups, but on the back of a six-match winning streak they are the competition's form team.

Wasps became the second team to secure their place in the June showpiece finals with a thumping 75-35 victory in Wales against the Celtic Dragons.

Hertfordshire Mavericks pulled off a 48-42 victory over Severn Stars on Friday night, while on Saturday, league-leaders Loughborough Lightning defeated Team Northumbria 68-51 having already secured top spot following a brilliant season that has now seen them record 16 wins from their 17 games.
