Dante D-Day for John Gosden's Foundation at York

Foundation faces a make-or-break afternoon at York on Thursday week when he runs in the Betfred Dante Stakes.
How last season's Royal Lodge winner gets on in the renowned Derby trial will go a long way to determining whether or not he makes the line-up at Epsom on June 4.
John Gosden's colt had been ante-post favourite for the premier Classic, but he could only finish second on his return to action in the Craven Stakes at Newmarket and has yet to step beyond a mile in trip.
Harry Herbert, racing manager for Foundation's owners Highclere Thoroughbred Racing, told the Daily Mail: "John says he has him where he wants him for York. The Craven run has taken the freshness out of him.
"He worked well on Saturday. We will be able to judge from the Dante whether we go Derby, French Derby or neither."
