Royal Ascot hero Trip To Paris is on course to make his next appearance in the Qatar Goodwood Cup on July 30.
The Gold Cup winner pleased trainer Ed Dunlop in a workout on Tuesday morning and is now all set to attempt to defy a 4lb penalty in the Group Two contest over two miles.
"He worked this morning and I was very happy with the way he went. All went well," said Dunlop.
"We'll aim him towards the Goodwood Cup, with all the usual caveats, but we're more than happy - I've contacted the owners and all being well his next run will be in the Goodwood Cup."
Dunlop believes the Trip To Paris story in progressing from handicaps to Group One winner is one that gives hope to every racehorse owner.
"The story is not about me, it's about a £20,000 breeze-up purchase that wins Ascot's coveted prize. It means that it's possible for every owner and that I think is really the story," he said.
Dunlop confirmed his globetrotter Red Cadeaux is doubtful for the Goodwood Cup and likely to wait for the Geoffrey Freer Stakes at Newbury next month, in which he has finished second and fourth in the last two seasons.
"It's very unlikely. We'll probably wait for his usual race at Newbury and see how we go," he said.
