Offers on table for Danzeno

Danzeno may have only two more outings this season for Mick Appleby - but offers have been received for the smart sprinter.

Mick Appleby's stable star finished fifth to Muhaarar on his first attempt in Group One company but it left connections convinced he is capable of making his mark at the highest level.

"If he ever gets out of the stalls on level terms - he's proven he's a Group One horse now - I think it's a matter of time before he wins one," Appleby told At The Races.

"He's starting to grow up now and was much more relaxed in the preliminaries and went into the stalls okay.

"Next year I think he'll be even better.

"He's now always slowly away, he just slightly misses the kick which is why we've kept him to six furlongs for now because if you do that over five at the highest level you've no chance. He's quick enough for five, though.

"He probably won't run again now until the Betfred Sprint Cup and then he'll go to Ascot on Champions Day, they'd be his only two runs left this season I think.
